Teaching Techniques Session 3

The Art of Persuasion

Session Summary

Persuasive communication, both oral and written, is a highly desirable skill at school and work. Teaching it in an effective and memorable way is the goal of the in-class exercise – “Save That Dog!” – to be demonstrated in this session. Be prepared to bring your best appeals to logos, ethos and pathos to bear on this engaging scenario, and learn how to adapt it for use in your own classes. [Presentation]
